Project management

At Bright Interactive we recognise that project management is the single most important factor determining the success or failure of your project.

Our structured approach and use of methodologies ensure that you benefit from our many years of experience of delivering complex web projects. Our project managers direct all of the diverse people and activities on a project, ensuring that everyone involved works effectively together towards a successful conclusion.

One of the first tasks is to choose the best way to manage the project, depending on its objectives and constraints, for example:

  • Standard waterfall – where the requirements are fixed, and all the scope is built according to a specification.

  • Timebox – suitable if a client needs the website for a fixed deadline. The scope may vary, although it is prioritised to ensure that the critical and important functionality is delivered.

  • Costbox – similar to a timebox but applied when the budget cannot be exceeded.

One of our first deliverables on a project will be a project plan – a document detailing the activities and timescales of the project. The plan is monitored throughout the project as circumstances change; although changes to the project plan are only made following agreement from the client’s project manager.

Once the project plan has been delivered and agreed upon, the project is ready to enter the first stages of its lifecycle.
