The Horseracing History Online project was funded by NOF Digitise (The New Opportunities Fund). The website shows digitised pictures and information about people and horses important to the history of British Horseracing, forming a digital archive of images created from the museum's extensive collection of glass negatives. Visitors to the website can browse, search for horses and people based on various search criteria, and play interactive games and quizzes to test their knowledge.
We designed the look & feel and front-end of the website specifically for the National Horseracing Museum, and developed it by customising our Image Archiving System - an extendable code framework that provides record and image management features.
The website complies with NOF's strict technical standards, which include W3C HTML, W3C CSS and eGif compliance.
