Online Community

Screenshots of some community websites Our Online Communities Framework provides the basics for supporting an online network of users on a website or intranet, and enables these users to generate and share their own content with their friends and the wider community.

The following functionality is provided by the framework:

User profiles: each user can present information about themselves to the wider community
Search & privacy: users can find others and view their profiles, but each user can control their own privacy settings to hide themselves if they wish
Friends: each user has a list of friends, who can see more about the user, or more of their user generated content
User generated content: users can create their own blogs, image galleries and discussion topics
Top content: summaries of the latest or most popular content can be shown around the website.
