At Bright Interactive, we use pre-built components that provide our clients with the benefits of reduced costs and quicker launch times for their websites.

Extensive use of components is a modern approach to website and software development.
Traditionally, consultancies have offered their clients either products or custom software. Products provide a ready-to-go solution, but are inflexible: they cannot usually be customised to fit your business needs. Custom software is very flexible, but expensive. And it takes time to design, build, test and roll out.

Components offer the best of both worlds in that they combine the advantages of custom solutions and off-the-shelf packages: a significant percentage of functionality already built, and the rest custom-made to meet your specific requirements.

Our components typically provide around 50% of the functionality of a website right out-of-the-box, giving the project team a great head start, but more importantly giving you reduced costs and quicker launch of your website or intranet.

Our pre-built components, which provide many of the common functions of a website (including a CMS), are built using the greatly respected Jakarta Project open source components.
